  1. If I were a manager, I would use Systems Theory. I would use this because I think it is a good efficient way to get work done and also interact with others in your workforce. Each part of the organization depends on each other which makes it good for the organization. I think this because it would motivate the workers to work and do everything properly so that everything is organized and running smoothly in the organization causing every other sub-group to run properly as well. I also think that communication internally is very important because you have to know what everyone else is working on and doing so that you know what stage to be at within your role, making a good final product.

  2. If I were to choose an organizational theory that would best suit my personality and work ethic would be the Systems Thoery. The System Theory allows everyone to work together in sub-groups that are then put together and create the organization. Having different sub-groups requires every one to rely on the other in order to work as a whole. This could be a risk because if one department fails then the rest will fail as well, but the opposite could happen, if one department excells the rest shall follow. I like to keep things in order at work, as well as with my peers, so having internal communication is key because it would keep everything in order inside the organization and along with the employees.

  5. The theory that best aligns with my personality and outlook would be Human Relations. I believe that businesses at the core are social environments where employees interact together to form tight networks. By creating a positive work area, job satisfaction is increased along with work productivity. I believe that when workers are happy that the end product reflects how they feel not only about themselves, but the organization. By having guidelines and rules that focus on the worker's needs rather than focusing on profit alone, makes the workers feel cared for and that what they do matters in the company. Overall it's the care for the worker's needs and the social environments within the company that aligns with my personality and outlook towards organizations and how they operate.

  6. The theory that best aligns with my personality, work ethic, and outlook as a manager would be the Scientific Management Theory. I would only choose this theory as a Manager of a business because in order for my organization to run properly I would like for the workers to work in a timely manner with the same daily schedule in order for my organization to run properly. I also believe tha money is the greatest motivator when it comes to a worker. I would not like my workers pitching in their ideas and creativeness because at this point in my career as a Manager, I have the game plan for my business and how it should be run. I believe that if workers were to give their opinions it would be negative to the organization because it would only slow us down. In order for my organization to run softly and successful, my workers would use money as the motivator and work more efficiently for the pay.

  7. The theory that I believe is the best in a workforce environment, from experience, is Classical Management Theory. I believe this is the best theory because unlike the Scientific Management Theory where the focus is on the workers and managers themselves, if the focus is on the work getting done and getting done well, the productivity of the job will be much better. If the focus was on the workers, the entire time they are on the job, their focus won't be on the job itself. Its known that workers can always find the time to have conversations not about their jobs which may reflect on the job not getting done. When the focus is put on the actual job and tasks, and I know from experience, the workers are focused on getting it done and managers are there to keep reminding and pushing them to complete the jobs, whether its better or faster.

  8. I believe that the classical management theory is the most compatible with my work ethic and outlook because it has clearly defined rules and regulations to follow (the 14 principles). The classical management theory also looks at the way to get the most work done which I think is essential for all companies to prosper. Some of the principles that I think are great are the remuneration, specialization of labour, order, and espirit de corps. Remuneration is important because I believe that it pays the employees what they deserve so that they keep wanting more money, but doesn't pay them enough so that they don't need the money. I think the specialization of labour is a good idea because I believe that you'll get better at a job especially if you practice it a lot. Order is something I like to have and I think that every organization needs this or else it will surely fail. Espirit de corps is French for team spirit. The workers must work as a team and be proud that they have the job they have. Doing these things and many more are what can make an organization successful.

  9. The theories that best describe my personality and work ethic/style would be the human relations theory, systems theory and theory Z. All of these theories connect to the emotional needs of both employee and management, which would be the main focus for me if I was to manage an organization. Satisfying the needs of both parties is what will make an organization successful so I believe these theories fit me as a person. My outlook on management is keeping your workers happy so that they will work to their fullest potential for you. If your workers dislike coming to work everyday they're productivity is going to be very low. Overall, the care for the worker's physical and emotional needs are what define me as a person. This would carry over to my management style as I would try to create a positive social environment within the company, as I believe this is the best way to get productivity from your workers.

  10. my favourite theory is the theory of x and the theory of y. my personality would probably be closer to classical theory but in the long run i beleive i would be more succesful with x and y theory. with the theory of x and the theory of y i could systematicaly be both classical and/0r closer to human relations theories which are the better of the theoris this would allow me to deal with different workers or situations the way that would be the best, when every worker is dealt with in a different way it meets their needs more increases productivity and shows the workers they are a valuable part of the workforce.

  11. The theory that best fits my personality and outlook would be human relations. If I was a manager, I would want me employees to come to work and not have to worry about being pressured or have the feeling of being depressed because of work. If the employee knows that work is a safe social environment, then they will want to come to work and do good at what their doing. When the employees like the manager, then they want to do good to impress them, so caring for the workers is the outlook I have on these theories.

  12. If I was a manager I would use the systems theory because I like to focus on organization and having specific functions for each part of a company would make this much easier. I can easily create internal communication to make sure the company/group is working well within itself. By having experts in each different department I can be sure that the work is being done to best capacity and focus on the outside environment and moving the organization forward. This specific task expertise will also make workers more valued and less replaceable, which is good because I view workers as more than just expendable parts of a system.

  13. If I were a manager, I would use Theory Z. I like it the best because the employees believe in the organization. If workers believe in the organization, they will work harder, making the organization more efficient. There would also be a worker loyalty to the company, so the employees will work there for a long time, making the organization more efficient as well. Since the employees will work there fopr a long time, the employees will know each other well, creating a social environment, making employees want to come to work even more.

  14. The organizational theory that best aligns with my work ethic and outlook is Human Relations theory. I believe that workers are motivated by needs and workers should be treated well and their needs to be met. Once happy with their work environment, the worker's positivity will transfer to the worker's product/service that they are making. In other words, once the worker is happy, they will do a better job. I also believe that organizations are social environments and because of that, 1 worker could easily negatively influence other workers to be lazy and not do their work. That is why we should listen to the workers and let them do at least a little bit of thinking within the company to keep them happy.

  15. These theories have strong and vaild qualities that are similar in a way where I believe that in today's society most organizations use all three theories. Each theory that we have discussed in class can make a business organization successful. I personally believe that the human relations theory fits best with my personality, work ethic and outlook. Workers should feel a job satisfaction where it will increase their work methods to increase productivity. For an example, I work at a business that is highly social between my manager and clients but also very technical.

  16. I would say that the theory that best aligns with my personality would most likely be a Human Relations kind of manager. I believe that an organization with workers in a social environment would most likely get them more motivated to work harder while not getting overly stressed and keeping them from disliking their job. A worker would not want to work that hard if there were things such as the manager being a total jerk! So you need to maintain a friendly, social environment in your business.

  17. the theories that align with my personality are human relations and systems theory, because i like to be social, interact with customers and employees and i believe that in order to be successful there needs to be trust within the employees and managers of the organization. i would want them to feel like they belonged at the organization as well as they should be happy working for the organization. if people aren't happy they may feel forced to come to work due to financial reasons or quit which can lead to a bad reputation for my company.

  18. Overall, after discussing all of the organizational theories in class for the past few days, in my opinion, I believe that human relations theories aligns bets with my personality. I support this theory because of the belief that workers are valuable to a company. Since the employees are the ones to serve and interact with the customers, they give customers the first impression of the image of the company. If the choice was given, I would prefer to work in a company where I love my job, enjoy the people I work with everyday and how the company serves the public. When I have to work for the rest of my life, I want to be able to do a job that I love. When I love the job, the work will be done with the best of my potential, regardless of financial of physical demands the job is involved with.Human Relations theory fits best with my outlook on life because it allows me to do something I love. When I love my job, I can dream bigger.

  19. All of the organizational theories have differences and similaritiesthat potentially can make a organization successful. The theory that best fits my personality, work ethic and outlook would be the human relations. Most of the other theories focus on worker efficiency and getting jobs done, but human relations focuses on the manager looking and physical and emotional needs. It is also said that the work place is a place where people interact. In my experience with workplaces, I enjoy working at an environment where everyone in the workplace interacts with eachother.

  20. Human Relations; I like this theory because it focuses on employee needs. If an employee is not happy then they will not work hard but if their neds are satisfied they will work harder to complete a task. I also like this theory because it says managers and workers should have a relationship. If a manager and worker have a connection it will be easier for the manager to understand the employee. Since they have a connection it will be easier to assign tasks to he worker.

Systems theory: I liek the systems theory because it says everythign must work together in ordr to run a successful business. If youtake one section of the business out then the rest of the business will suffer. The systemstheory also states that there are distinct roles for certain people and i beleive this is true. If someone is in accounting then they should not be working in production. This will allow the business to be successful and run properly.

  21. The organizational theory that best aligns with my personality is Learning Organizations Theory. This is because I highly value experiental learning. To eleberate, in order to do something well, it takes time. During this time, mistakes occur, which is a form of experiental learning. If a person has an open mind and a positive attitude toward the mistakes, he can learn to avoid these mistakes in the future. An example of this is when I entered high school. At first, my marks weren't very great. However, as I progressed through the grades, the work I did became better. This resulted in better outputs (marks).

The same is true in real-world businesses. Businesses need time to perfect what they do. For example, one business may need to perfect their product by offering continuous updates (ex. Microsoft Windows), while another may need to perfect their target market (the people to whom they advertise).

  22. The theory that best aligns with my personality and outlook is the systems theory approach because it is based on interdependence of the various subgroups of the organization, this means that a part or segment of the organization can influence the functioning of other parts of the organization, interdependence leads to expertise and improvement of skills,it also encourages focus and drive and all these will help maximize the output generated because members of the organization will work as a team with members having different roles to perform.

  23. I truly believe that the scientific management theory aligns with my work ethic because business is about increasing productivity, improving customer relations, and gaining profit. This philosophy illustrates an approach which emphasizes research for developing a comprehensive management method. If managers trained employees to perform their task in a certain way then this leads to productivity and will sustain consistency, which is beneficial for business operations.

  24. I believe that classical management theory is the best theory because i think that a managers job should be to analyze the workforce and to find the best way to get the job done. I also like the 14 principles of management because it defines the main ideas that describe a managers job. I prefer this theory over scientific management theory because Scientific theory focuses on the jobs of managers where classical theory focuses on the workforce and i believe that if you take the time to properly train your employees they will be better workers and will also respect their managers which in return will improve productivity and will also increase the quality of the product. Therefor i believe that Classical management theory is the best theory for organizations because i think all of the principles behind this theory will help make an organization sucessful.
